About Joe Endy

I am a published and award‑winning wildlife photographer from Pennsylvania.

My journey into photography began after major spine surgery changed the rhythm of my life. What started as a simple way to reconnect with the outdoors quickly grew into a passion that reshaped everything.

I picked up a basic point‑and‑shoot camera and was hooked from the first moment. Within months, I upgraded to a DSLR and dove headfirst into learning the craft. Today, I work exclusively with mirrorless cameras and lenses, capturing wildlife with clarity, emotion, and intention.

My style is all about detail. While many wildlife photographers lean toward wide, scenic compositions, I’m drawn to close‑up portraits that reveal texture, character, and connection. I want viewers to see the fine structure of a feather, the subtlefibers of fur, and most importantly, the depth in an animal’s eyes. That’s where the story lives.

Although my spine and heart issues limit how far I can explore and often require me to sit while shooting, I’ve learned to adapt. Nature has a way of meeting you where you are. Being outdoors with my camera helps me manage pain, reduce stress, and stay grounded in the beauty around me.

Wildlife photography is more than a hobby, it’s my passion, my therapy, and my way of sharing the natural world with others.

Thank you for taking the time to enjoy my work.
